Do-Ahead Herbed Compound Butter
  • 2sticks unsalted butterroom temperature
  • 1tablespoon heavy cream
  • 3tablespoons herbs of choicefinely chopped
  • pinch salt
  • pinch paprika
  1. Combine ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. This can also be done in a metal bowl with an electric hand mixer or if you are feeling Superman strong, with a wooden spoon.
  2. Put finished butter in a container or wrap into a log shape by rolling in plastic wrap.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Compound butter can be refrigerated for a few days or frozen until ready to soften for use.
