Egg Liqueur Gugelhupf
A German Holiday Cake!
  • 4 eggs
  • 4oz sugar
  • 7fluid oz vegetable oil
  • 7fluid oz egg liqueur
  • 11oz plain flour
  • 1/2oz baking powder
  • 3 1/2oz Powdered sugar
  • 3tbsp Lemon juice
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease the baking tin.
  2. Whisk the eggs and sugar until thick and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the oil and egg liqueur.
  4. Stir in the flour and baking powder.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin.
  6. Bake at 360°F in the lower part of the oven for 45 minutes.
  7. When the cake has cooled down, you can mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice and coat the cake if you like.
