The Orginal New Orleans Muffuletta Sandwich

Sandwhich Material
  • 1 Muffuletta breador 10-inch Italian style bread
  • 3oz Capicola ham
  • 3oz Genoa salami
  • 2oz Mozzarella cheese
  • 2oz Provolone cheese
Olive salad
  • 2/3cup Kalamata olivespitted and chopped
  • 2/3cup black olivespitted and chopped
  • 1/2cup chopped pimentos
  • 3cloves minced garlic
  • 1Tablespoon capersrinsed and drained
  • 1Tablespoon fresh parsleyfinely chopped
  • 1teaspoon fresh oreganofinely chopped
  • 1/2teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2cup extra virgin olive oil
  1. Combine all ingredients for the olive salad and let sit overnight if possible before use.
  2. Cut bread lengthwise and pull out some of the soft bread to make more room for ingredients.
  3. Spread olive salad on bottom layer then layer meats and cheeses. Spread as much
