Vegan Cashew Cheezy Sauce

Ingredients
  • 3/4cup raw or unsalted cashews
  • 1/2cup nutritional yeast
  • 1tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2tsp onion powder
  • saltto taste
Instructions
  1. Add the cashews to a small cup and fill the cup with warm water until the water level is just above the top of the nuts. Allow them to soak for 10 minutes.
  2. Once they are done soaking, drain them in a colander and add them to your blender or food processor. Add in the other ingredients and blend until they form a smooth paste without any chunks of cashew. Add in a splash of water if necessary to help blend.
  3. Mix this thick, cheezy sauce in with your favorite macaroni noodles, or enjoy it as a healthy dipping sauce for soft pretzels or nachos.
