Homemade Bisquick-Style Pancake and Baking Mix

For those times when you run out and don’t want to go all the way to the store, simply make your own homemade Bisquick-style pancake and baking mix.



  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable shortening or canola oil


  1. In the bowl of a food processor, add flour, baking powder, and salt. Pulse for about 15 seconds.
  2. Add vegetable shortening or oil. Pulse until mixture resembles cornmeal.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
