But…. A cup of coffee is NOT 6 oz. So you have really confused me. 8 0z is a cup. Now a days most people use a 10 to 12 oz cup. Do how do you make a 8 oz of coffee?
Believe it or not, the norm for measuring a standard “cup” of coffee (or tea) is actually 6 ounces of liquid! But you are absolutely correct that most people use much larger drinking vessels these days, particularly in the US. Feel free to post any questions you may have in the comments section at the end of any of our articles, and see our coffee content for more info and suggestions. The correct way to make it (and measure the grounds) depends in large part on what type you are brewing.
