And there’s plenty of other user-friendly features as well. To explore them all, let’s have a closer look at the following:

Programs and Features

The control panel is designed for quick and easy use, and is laid out on the front panel beside the door.

The large LCD display screen is blue-backlit for easy reading and uses large, digital numerals to clearly display the various cooking functions, temperature, time, and selected toast shade – and includes settings like “Preheat” and “Ready.” When the machine is not in use, the digital clock is the default setting.

The selector dial is large enough for an easy, comfortable grasp and is used for all program functions such as baking time, clock settings, temperatures, and toast shade. Simply scroll the dial to the desired function then press to select from 12 different cooking settings.

The 12 cooking features include settings for the following: Toast, Bagels, Bake, Broil, Roast, Pizza, Keep Warm, and Leftovers. And for the spit, Chicken, Duck, Meat, and Custom settings are available.

Below the selection dial, the “Conv” button activates the convection fan and can be used with most of the cooking functions. Press it at any time to add the timesaving convenience of convection technology.

The “Rotis” button is used to make rotisserie selections – press and scroll to select from the settings listed above for the spit.

Once your selections have been made, use the “Start/Stop” button to start operation, and press again to stop any cooking function.

You also have the option to turn off the beeping indicator sounds, or increase their volume for a louder sound.

Construction, Details, and Specs

The included rotisserie spit and skewers are made of sturdy stainless steel, and are used for evenly roasting items such as a 4-pound chicken, a 5-pound duck, game hens, or a small roast.

Insert the spit into your trussed food and secure it with the skewers, with one at each end. Then, mount the spit into the sockets located on the interior side walls. Choose your settings, and press “Rotis” to make the spit start turning for even cooking and golden results.

The convection fan circulates heated air evenly and quickly, giving a faster cooking time that also eliminates hot and cool spots. Convection can be added at any time, and works with most of the cooking functions such as Bake, Broil, Keep Warm, Leftovers, Pizza, Roast, and Rotisserie.

After making your selection for the cooking function, oven temperature, and cooking time, press the “Conv” button to initiate the fan – and press again at any time to stop the fan.

The housing unit is constructed of rugged, brushed stainless steel for easy maintenance and cleanup. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry with a soft dish towel. The interior has an easy-clean coating that can be wiped down using mild, soapy water and a soft cloth.

Cuisinart recommends hand washing the accessories to prolong their life – use a nylon scrubby and hot, soapy water to clean the baking/drip pan, broil rack, crumb tray, skewers, spit, and wire rack.

Other convenient features include a front-loading crumb tray that slides out for quick cleanup, a clear glass door to monitor cooking progress, and storage cleats on the rear panel to keep the cord tidy on your counter.

Plus, 4 heating elements and 4 rack positions ensure the proper placement of your dish inside the oven for optimal cooking efficiency. For safety, the upper and middle rack positions have a built-in stop to prevent the rack from accidentally sliding out when fully loaded.

The TOB-200N has a capacity of 0.8 cubic feet, it holds up to 6 slices of bread, and it has a rear bump to accommodate a 12-inch pizza.

It measures approximately 16x21x14.5 inches, weighs 21 pounds, and comes with Cuisinart’s 3-year warranty to be free of defects in materials and workmanship.

It has a 4-foot cord, uses 1875 watts of power, and has a brushed stainless steel finish.

    • Good question, Brenda. It’s hard to say. Brands often discontinue certain models if they see declining sales, or to make way for new and improved technology – disappointing since we are fans of this appliance!

I took a look at Cuisinart’s current offerings, and they don’t seem to have a new model available with the rotisserie option. The closest you can get to this model today is the TOB-260N1. They also have some newer models for sale that include a combination of toaster oven and air fryer functions.
