Quality Construction and Easy Operation
Braun provides several options for immersion blenders, and the Multiquick 777 gives user-friendly design, efficient technology, and all the needed accessories for versatile performance.
Adjusting the speed is simple and easily regulated with their patented Smart-Speed technology – just squeeze the soft-grip trigger with your forefinger. Perfect for use without interruption, the more you depress the trigger, the more power is delivered to the blade.
The PowerBell system is also patented and features a long, stainless steel wand and power head designed in the shape of a fluted bell. Ideal for pureeing soup right in the pot or to make a tall smoothie, the unique design reduces suction at the bottom of containers which makes it easier to control and eliminates excess splatter.
Your ingredients stay where they belong so there’s no need to pause and scrape down the bowl sides.
To remove or change attachments, Braun uses an Easy Click system. The two buttons located on the handle are pressed simultaneously to release the wand and insert the next attachment. An audible click eliminates guesswork and the buttons securely locks the attachment in place.
To prevent accidental activation, the unlock button provides a much-needed safety feature – saving countless fingertips from serious injury for those who like to fiddle with the blades while it’s still plugged in!
Located on top of the handle, once the unlock button is activated, the pilot light switches from red to green. When the power button is left off for five seconds, the unit locks and will need to be re-activated before you can blend again – which is easy to do with just the thumb of your control hand.
The non-slip handle is rubberized and ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip that improves stability and control. And it also houses the motor.
All In One Food Processor
The included all-in-one food processor has a 6-cup capacity and is ideal for preparing small to mid-sized batches of food.
The geared lid easily handles a wide selection of foods – even hard and tough ingredients such as meat and dense vegetables, and the wide chute accommodates larger foods like a whole cucumber.
It comes with 2 shredding inserts for coarse or fine shreds, 1 slicing insert, 1 julienne insert, 1 large chopping blade, and 1 French fry disc.
And a detachable rubber ring on the base keeps the unit securely in place when in use.
Included Accessories Add Versatility
In addition to the food processor, Braun MQ777 Multiquick comes with several versatile accessories:
- A 20-fluid ounce beaker of clear acrylic is marked in both millimeters and ounces and is convenient for pureeing baby foods, making a smoothie, or mixing up condiments like homemade mayonnaise.
- Pop in the stainless steel whisk to mix up batters or to whip foods like cream or eggs.
- And the perforated masher has a large head and rubberized plastic blade that quickly mashes up creamy potatoes or other veggies in mere seconds.
If you need an additional food processor attachment for smaller jobs, 1.5 cup and 2 cup attachments are available.
The 1.5 cup size is included with the smaller sibling of the MQ777, the Braun Multiquick MQ725 (which does not included the 6 cup food processor or the mashing attachment).
Care and Cleaning
The PowerBell wand, cutting blades, and whisk are made of durable, high-grade stainless steel and all plastic parts that contact foods are BPA-free.
As the handle contains the motor, it should never be immersed in water but can be wiped down with a clean, damp cloth.
The food processor lid can be rinsed under running water, and all other parts are dishwasher safe – but you might want to remove the rubber ring from the base of the food processor to prevent it drying out.
Dimensions and Specs
The Braun MQ777 measures approximately 15.5 inches in length, has a diameter of 2.25 inches, and weighs just under 2 pounds.
It has a high performance, German engineered 400-watt motor and the 5-foot cord has a polarized safety plug.
Made in Romania, it comes with Braun’ three-year warranty to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
Compare and Contrast: The Breville BSB510XL Control Grip Vs. Braun MQ777
For a side by side comparison to a similar product, another of our favorites is the Breville BSB510XL Control Grip.
A Breville feature we love (absent on the Braun) is the no-scratch pan guard on the power head that prevents scratching pot interiors.
The Breville also has a food chopper, but it’s basic compared to the Braun – just one chopping blade, and it’s smaller too, with a 3-cup capacity.
The Breville beaker is definitely superior. Twice the size at 40 ounces, it has the added convenience of a handle, a pouring beak, and a lid.
But, the Breville is almost twice as heavy at 4 pounds versus Braun’s 2-pound weight.
And Braun’s top-notch, 3-year warranty easily trumps Breville’s 1-year guarantee.
- Build Quality
- Included or Optional Accessories
The Braun MQ777 Multiquick Hand Blender is a top pick due to the power and the 3-year warranty. The variable speed trigger takes this immersion blender over the competition which all have separate speed control knobs. And for those with limited space, the included 6 cup food processor could eliminate another bulky appliance. This is one of our favorite models that we evaluated. You can't go wrong with the MQ777!
For compact convenience and versatile performance, the Braun MQ777 provides everything needed to puree soups, shred veggies, or whip up a meringue!
Powerful and efficient, it’s lightweight, portable, and easy to control. A great tool for prepping veggies, pureeing smoothies and soups, and for kitchens with limited cupboard space – solid value for the price.
